“The Price of Freedom...Celebrate It!”

Galatians 5:1
Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. (The Message)

As we celebrate July 4th, 2014, let's take hold of the freedom available to us that Jesus offers through His Sacrifice on the cross. What a price! When confronted by day-to-day struggles and hardships ('repeated injuries and usurpations') stand firm in the Word and do not let yourself be burdened by these yokes of slavery. Jesus died that you might enjoy life. Take hold of His freedom and walk in it. Don’t take this holiday lightly. Instead, be grateful for our liberty. Reflect on the fact that our forefathers took their 'stand' so that doors of opportunity may be opened for us. Believe God, showing Him gratitude in praise and worship!

While you enjoy your barbecues, fireworks and fun time with friends and family, thank Him for your spiritual freedom and the privilege it affords. Christ died to release us from a long list of laws and regulations. However, the freedom is not to do your own thing, for that will lead you back to slavery through selfish desires.

By all means, intercede for this nation. Lift it up to God in prayer for our president, leaders, pastors and all others who impact upon our lives. Only ONE KING rules, and not through oppression but LOVE!

“Loving Like Jesus”

John 3:16; Luke 10:27-37

This is family Month at Sacred Zion and I can’t think a better time to place emphasis on love. Each of us needs love and we should love according to God’s loves. Love is rather than a feeling, love is always a choice, an act of our will in which special feelings follow. As our Sovereign role model, the Lord demonstrated the direction—the active giving and accepting and caring—our love should take “God so loved the world and He gave HIs only forgotten Son” his love cause him to give. If you really love someone you are willing to give His son, the highest price He could pay.
