A servant-focused follower, such devotion has allowed her to humbly accept the duties of Director of the Ministerial Alliance for Maryland Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, District Overseer for Baltimore City FGBCF (appointed September 2007), and as State Overseer for Maryland FGBCF (appointed November 2008).  In November 2010, Maryland State Overseer Greene was elevated to Bishop Candidate and successfully completed required Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Episcopacy Training March 4, 2011.  Officially becoming Bishop Designate on March 28, 2011, she gives all praise to God for Bishop Consecration on June 28, 2011.  This appointment placed Bishop Greene in the office of Bishop for the State of Maryland through June 27, 2014.  The office was passed on, in grace, by Bishop Bertha Greene to her appointed District Overseer C. Guy Robinson, Pastor of The Tabernacle of Lord located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Greene performs civic duties throughout Baltimore and the State of Maryland, seeking to better lives in the communities.  She served as Board Chair of Project ARISE (Abstinence, Remembering, Instilling Pride, Self-Worth, and Education), a CDC-funded Faith-Based HIV/AIDS Prevention initiative, for 11 years.  She is a former columnist for a local magazine, A Sister’s Dialogue, for which she wrote health-related articles with emphasis on HIV/AIDS. A native of North Carolina (having spent most of her adult years in Baltimore), she is the daughter of Rev. Samuel B. and Alma Clanton. The eleventh of twelve siblings, Dr. Greene is currently writing Designer Genes.  In addition to herself, God anointed other Clanton family members to preach the Message of Salvation, the story to be shared in this follow-up to her first autobiography.

Bishop Greene is a wife, mother, foster mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She and her husband, Deacon Emeritus Ronald W. Greene, Sr., stand side-by-side working in Gospel Ministry.  Together they have seven children; Carlee, Ronald, Minister Phillip (deceased), Maria, Donna, Anthony and John; foster son Sydney Wood and twenty-one grandchildren.
