CONSECRATION GRATITUDE

Bishop Greene received Consecration at the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International 2011 Conference in Atlanta, GA. She expresses her gratitude, as published in the Baltimore Examiner (April 27, 2011).

I want to share with the readers of the Examiner that I feel so blessed at this time in my life that this would be happening.  Little did I know 15 years ago in June when I organized the Sacred Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church that the 15th year Anniversary would include my elevation to the Office of Bishop.  I glorify God for what He has done. He, and He alone, receives the glory for what is transpiring in my life at such as a time as this.  I totally respect the leadership of Full Gospel and that’s why 15 years later, I am still active in the Fellowship.

I thank God for some people who have been there for me during the 15 years: my Pastor, Dr. Harry Greene of First Christ United Ministries; my friend, Dr. Leah White, Pastor of Greater Faith Baptist Church and who made me aware of [the fact that] Full Gospel [was] organizing in Maryland under [the] then Overseer Oscar C. Brown, Pastor of First Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church.  Thanks to Bishop Oscar E. Brown who gave me my first assignment in the Fellowship. I give thanks to Bishop Dwayne C. Debnam for all of his support; my First Assistant and District Overseer for Baltimore County, Dr. Ruby C. Gilliam; Baltimore City District Overseer, Aggie L. Brown, Jr.; my Executive Assistant, Elder Yvonne Guy; and all Pastors and State Directors.

(Bishop Greene is so grateful to have the support of  a loving and devoted husband, Deacon Emeritus Ronald W. Greene, Sr., who serves as her Partner in Ministry. She extends her thanks to him, as well as their children. She gives honor to her Clanton Family, in whose circle she was introduced to Christian service.)  Special thanks to my Sacred Zion family who have stood with me through it all.  I bless God for each one individually and collectively because without them it would not have been possible for me to be where I am today.  Lastly, but in no way least, thank you to the visionary of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, Bishop Paul S. Morton; my Regional Bishop, Bishop Jesse N. Gavin, and the tiers of leadership for Full Gospel.

I am humbled and honored to serve in the capacity of Bishop. I will seek God first and foremost as it relates to this Office and service to the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International, and the Maryland State Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. My ultimate goal in life, and in this elevation, is to please God.
