Glory to God in the highest and on earthpeace among men with whom he is pleased .(Luke 2:14) This  means it should be at a place of peace. However, with some there is anything but peace!  As we look at the world and the things that are going on around us, it disturbs our peace. Unemployment threatens our livelihood.  Our families are suffering.  The current economy has caused us to downsize and give up some things. Yet, this scripture says we are to be at peace because we are among men with whom God is pleased!

Let me assure you God's promises are Yes and Amen! Every promise He makes He keeps.  In Isaiah 9:6 it was prophesied, For unto you a child is born and to you a Son is given and thegovernment shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father and The Prince of Peace.   So this is the season that The Prince of Peace arrived and in His arrival there is a message of hope.
He came to deliver us from the slavery of sin.
In learning the significance of the 5 names that describe The Prince of Peace we can realize
peaceregardless of our situations:

-        Wonderful- He is exceptional, distinguished, and without peers.  God is the one whom you can turn to for healing.  There is no one equal to Him.

-        Counselor—You will always receive the right advice.  He will help us to sort through our problems and our inner mess, and guide us to the truth and reality of the situations.

-        The Mighty God—He is God all by Himself. God can supply us with power to
stay on the path of healing and deliverance.
-        The Everlasting Father—He is timeless.  He is God the Father of believers.
He can love us more deeply than our earthly father.
-        The Prince of Peace—We are all looking for that peace that comes because The Prince of Peace came
over 2000 years ago.  His government is one of justice and peace, therefore,
He can fill our mind with peace, and our life with wholeness.
The peace that we should experience will result if we just understand that The Prince of Peacebrings peace to the world and to the troubled people.  Though injustice seems to prevail, and we may suffer from abuse that is not even our fault, we can rest assured that justice will be served.  We can have God’s peace if we trust in Him and give Him all our worries, cares, hopes and ambitions. Just ask God to help us and He promises
that we are not to be anxious for anything but through prayer,
thanksgiving and supplication we are to make our request known and He will give us a peace beyond understanding !
